About

LA Makers United Against COVID-19 is spearheaded by the Collaborative Research Association of Social Hacktivity (CRASH). CRASH is a 501(c)3 nonprofit formed by a group of volunteer engineers, programmers, builders, scientists, teachers, and artists who like to solve problems and explore new ideas. Since our founding in 2009, CRASH has promoted accessibility in science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics (STEAM) by teaching classes, doing outreach at public events, providing online resources, and running a shared workshop.

CRASH Space is located at: 10526 Venice Blvd, Culver City CA 90232

EIN: 80-0807103

Fundraising

We are taking donations through our GoFundMe campaign to cover material costs and operational overhead as we mass-produce, package, and distribute clinician-evaluated and approved personal protective equipment (PPE), and other designs requested by those on the frontlines.

Any remaining funds will support area 501(c)(3) non-profits working on COVID-19 relief and STEAM education.

CRASH is a 501(c)3 non-profit, and your donation is completely tax deductible. We’re a small community looking to make a big impact, and any amount can help.

If you can, please donate.

Our Healthcare Partners

Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and Keck Medicine of USC are our design evaluation partners. Our effort has become a nexus of information-sharing between frontline clinicians at both hospitals and allowed the ability to build mutual consensus on which designs are most effective.
